Workshops and demonstrations
Leeton facilitates cultural workshops for schools, distance education, study tours, youth programs, community events and can contribute to camp programs. Leeton's workshops cover aspects of the curriculum required for Indigenous perspectives.

Traditional fire starting
This fire starting workshop involves learning how to create fire by friction using traditional techniques and other methods, understanding fire safety and the principles of fire.
Plants/ Natural Materials and their uses
Identifying a range of plants and materials and learn their traditional uses through a personal tutorial to create your own natural fibre string or native plant based glue.
Tools and artefacts
Explore various tools and artefacts used by Aboriginal people and learn their uses through a hands on experience.
Aboriginal Art
Understand how symbols have been used for communication and storytelling for thousands of years using traditional symbols on canvas, boomerangs or didgeridoos.
Didgeridoo for beginners
Using authentic didgeridoos this introduction will teach a basic drone and an introduction to animal calls and education of the instrument itself.
Murals
Leeton can create a personalised artwork and involve students in the process if desired.These can be in the form of Murals, Canvas, Poles (e.g. Bushtucker Garden), Signs and pretty much anything you can put paint on. Leeton has permanent installations at Dreamworld, Jacobs Well Environmental Education Centre, Vonda Youngman Community Centre,Tamborine Mountain State Independent School, Tamborine Mountain State High School, St Michales College.
Gunyah Installation with student participation
Students will participate in building a traditional gunyah using natural materials and learning about the different types of shelters used in different climates of Australia.
Gunyah Installation and demonstration, assembled by facilliatator over 2 consecutive days
Step back in time to a traditional campsite and learn about tools, utensils, weapons and protocols. Presentation are from the gunyah over 2-3 days and includes the following workshops as a package: tool & artefact identification, string making, fire starting.
Team Building/ Leadership development
Through fun activities and challenges Leeton can assist in building and developing your leadership team to become more self aware, increase communication skills, understand the key components of a successful team and utilizing the strengths of individuals through experiential learning. Ideal for school leadership development and staff.
